From the coast of North Carolina, Indie-Rock’s Second Class Citizen brings gritty, guitar-driven songs an anthemic feeling with catchy riffs and life in the fast lane style lyrics. Emerged in 2020, the majority of the band were just teenagers when frontman Jackson Reynolds and drummer Sean Mabe ditched the varsity athlete scene and set out to form Second Class Citizen. Along came bassist Logan Gambill and lead guitarist Jacob White. Although childhood friends, the four-piece didn’t start writing music together until late 2021, writing numerous songs before putting out their debut single “Six,” in the Autumn of 2021. With local performances and recognition, the band quickly rose to local success. With big plans and passionate live performances, Second Class Citizen is the next thing to take Indie-Rock by storm.
